Last year, I went to a stunning wedding in Byron Bay hinterland. It was held amongst the trees in a forest-esque farm, with hay bales to sit on and leaves gently falling during the ceremony. There was magic in the air and the bride (my friend) looked stunning in her long sleeve lace dress. It was ethereal and elegant and not something I’ll forget anytime soon. Here’s some pics that have me in a daydream…
Long sleeve lace dresses and flower crowns are a match made in heaven. You’re guaranteed beautiful photos with this combo. Look for pretty patterns in the lace and a pop of colour in the delicate flower crown.
What a beautiful and simple idea. Tie a little sprig to the invitation or program and voila, you have a touch of the wilderness.
Oh my, these flowers are divine. I love the combination of statement natives with more delicate pieces and some bold greenery in between. Tie the bunch together with string or hessian for a rustic touch.
How cute are these mismatched wooden chairs? You could hire a whole bunch or source them from op shops if sitting on hay bales isn’t your thing.
Yay for this cheese ‘cake’! It goes awesomely with the woodlands vibe and is also a good sugar-free option. Plus anything with fresh figs gets a tick from me.
The more foliage, the better, if you ask me. Add a few candles (at a safe distance from the foliage) and you have a beautiful reception set up.
Have fun styling, but most importantly, enjoy your beautiful woodland wedding!
