There is just something so wonderful about costume illustrations don’t you think? We could seriously look at these forever! What makes them even more special is that the finished products will be adorning dancers in a show created by The Australian Ballet, especially for small children.

Storytime Ballet - The Australian Ballet - The Nutcracker Artistic Director of The Australian Ballet, David McAllister said, “The Nutcracker is one of the world’s most-loved story ballets and the perfect introduction to ballet for children, as they follow this classic Christmas tale of Clara and her adventures.”

Last year’s Storytime Ballet, Sleeping Beauty, was breathtaking, so we couldn’t be more excited that another season is in the works.

The show has been thoughtfully created especially for children from three to 11 years old. It features a narrator to guide the audience through the ballet and runs for just under an hour – which is perfect for tiny audience members.

And, saving the best ’till last, kids are encouraged to come dressed in their favourite ballet inspired outfits and can interact with the performers on stage.

In saying that, you may want to check out their beautiful products for kids. Santa pretty please!
