threads, bags and bits to help you ‘mum’ in style

We are sharing our favourite threads, bags and bits that will get you from A to B with no dramas. One hundred percent kid proof and funky as hell.

When Sage & Luna came to us with their gorgeous bags, we new instantly that we needed to share them with you guys. And what better way than to get our two digi-gals Jenna and Babs to style them up!

I’m one of those people who love to have ALL the essentials at arms reach when commuting to work or around town. I often travel from the Blue Mountains to the city and visiting little family members in different states. Which means it’s handy to have extra clothing for quick changes in weather, as well as a few things in my bag to entertain my little nieces and nephews.

The Sage & Luna clover bucket bag is perfect for me, as the leather is lightweight (it won’t be as heavy when I fill it with all my stuff!). This particular bag also includes lots of internal pockets (a winner for me!) as I prefer having everything organised and easily accessible – there’ll be no scrounging around for my water bottle, wallet and keys. As a crafter, I often hoard a few craft supplies in my bag, ready if creativity strikes, so those pockets are really going to come in handy.

There are also external pockets for my phone and one big enough for a change mat if you’re a mum. It’s a great ‘every day bag’ with a variety of wear options because of the long leather strap – styling it either cross ways over your body or sling it behind your back or over pram handles. The large d-rings can be used to attach to handbag hooks on a pram too.

No matter how much I try, I’m just not a minimalist. Nor have I ever been a tidy-purse person.Organisation doesn’t come all that naturally to me, so I have learned to invest in the tools I need to stop me from losing my mind. A good quality baby bag with a million pockets is a huge necessity in my life.

Between school runs, working from home, working in the office and just living the mum life, my bag is like the portable house I accessorise with. If it’s comfortable, cute and fun, then it’s my style.

I love the Sage & Luna Rana – Blush bag because it fits a laptop (yayzers) has expandable sides (non-minimalist) and wipes clean (two kids under six) and there are eight pockets for everyone’s drink bottles, snacks and devices.

But the main reason we both love this brand is below.

Sage & Luna love to give back to the community so with each purchase of one of the bags, a birthing kit is donated to women in developing countries through Birthing Kit Foundation (Australia). Can we get a hell yeah?
